Allen Poon co-founded TETRA Architects with his partners in 2011, specializing in architecture, interiors, urban design and cultural events. His board professional experience contributes a significant portfolio covering a wide range of projects. He was the Executive Curator for Hong Kong Shenzhen Bi-city Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture 2013 and lead-curator for “Fringe Urbanism” which focused on cultural exchanges between Asian major cities about community building and urban design. Being an active advocate for community-oriented architecture, Allen has been participating in the conservation and revitalization at Pokfulam Village to protect its cultural landscape with the villagers in recent years.
He is a pioneer among his peers in promoting culture, and is educating all levels of society about the importance of creativity. Allen was consultant to various public art events including ArtAlive@Park with CUHK Architecture, International Museum Day as well as Park Deco Project with Hong Kong Design Centre. He has also been lecturing architecture in universities. Recently Allen is partnering with Lingnan University to promote the idea of “service learning” among the community and the architectural profession.
